As we begin the final week of school, congratulations on making it to the finish line of another incredible year! This coming week will be filled with exciting moments, important milestones, and memories that will last a lifetime.

For our seniors, graduation activities are finally here and it’s a time to celebrate all of your hard work, accomplishments, and the journey that brought you to this moment. Enjoy every activity, every laugh, and every memory as you prepare to walk across Mitchell Field at Dan Pitts Stadium on May 22nd and begin your next chapter.

For our underclassmen, final exams are an opportunity to finish strong and show all that you have learned this year. Stay focused, give your best effort, and take pride in ending the year with determination and excellence.

No matter what grade you are in, you have accomplished something important by making it to this final week.Let’s finish the year with CHAMP pride and make good choices. We are proud of all you have achieved and look forward to celebrating a successful end to the school year together.

Don’t forget CHAMP Early Release is tomorrow as well as Athletic Wear Friday. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”

As we wrap up another great week, I want to take a moment to tell you how proud we are of the effort you have shown this year. Whether you have been preparing for exams, competing in athletics and activities, or simply continuing to show up and do your best each day, you have represented MPHS well.

Now we enter the final two weeks of the school year, the last “official” week for the Class of 2026! This is the time to stay focused, study for EOCs and final exams, finish assignments, and make the most of every opportunity that remains. The finish line is in sight, but these last days still matter. How you finish says a lot about your character and commitment.

As Usain Bolt said, “I trained four years to run nine seconds, and people give up when they don’t see results in two months.” Keep pushing, keep working, and finish these last two weeks with purpose and chaMP pride. And don’t forget to show up in your Athletic Wear tomorrow for a week well done!!!

Let’s continue to make good decisions and end this school year strong. We believe in you, and we cannot wait to celebrate all that you accomplish in these final weeks. Finish strong, MP!

Our MP Principal's Student Focus group got a chance to meet Governor Kemp at our final meeting of the year today. This group has been such an integral part in providing student perspective and feedback on ways to make MPHS a great place for all students to learn, grow, and succeed. It has also been a way to grow leadership and self-advocacy skills, and leaders of this group used these skills to introduce themselves to the governor and asked for a photo. Very proud of how they represent MP. CHAMPS!

As we wrap up another week, we want to take a moment to recognize some great things that have happened this week. In varsity athletics, baseball and girls tennis made it to the playoffs, girls golf and track and field are headed to state, and boys soccer is headed to the Elite 8. We have had students win state awards and scholarships, and successful events like HOSA’s spring blood drive and the opening of Guys and Dolls. And we had another great week of CHAMP behavior to cap it all off!

Looking ahead, we have important academic milestones coming up with EOC and AP testing beginning next week. These assessments are an opportunity to demonstrate what you’ve learned and how far you’ve come this year. We encourage you to stay consistent in your preparation, get plenty of rest, and approach each test with confidence.

Every day matters, and your effort makes a difference. Enjoy your athletic wear tomorrow for a week well done!

“Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out.” — Robert Collier

Have a great rest of your week, and keep up the great work, CHAMPS!

What a great week! Weeks like this don’t happen by accident, and it says a lot about the effort you’re putting in each day. When the end of the year begins to creep in, it can be really easy to not put our best foot forward, or to not make good decisions. It is always important to remain committed to being a CHAMP until the end-courteous, honorable, accountable, motivated, and prepared.

As we look ahead to next week, MP will be celebrating our Teacher Appreciation Week. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to give a little kudos to the teachers who invest their time, energy, and care into your success each day. A simple “thank you,” a kind note, or a thoughtful gesture can go a long way in letting them know how much they are appreciated.

Remember:
“Gratitude turns what we have into enough.” — Aesop

Let’s keep showing up like CHAMPs each day, and also take a little time to recognize those who are supporting you along the way. Enjoy your Friday of Athletic Wear, CHAMPs!

We are thrilled to announce our first-ever MPHS/MCCCA Senior Signing Day Ceremony, celebrating the Class of 2026! Whether students are headed to a university, joining the military, starting an apprenticeship, or diving straight into the workforce, we want to honor their hard work and commitment.
To be included in the ceremony, MPHS seniors must register using the Google Form posted in the Senior Google Classroom or sent out by Mrs. McLuen in an IC message on 4/16. Registrations are due this Friday, April 24, 2026. If you have any questions, please contact Susan Little at susan.little@mcschools.org.

We want to take a moment to recognize each of you for a fantastic first week back from spring break. You have returned with focus, energy, and a commitment to excellence that truly reflects what it means to be a CHAMP.

We are especially proud to share that, through your collective efforts, you raised enough funds for charity during Sweet Week to earn an extra Athletic Wear Day. Well done! This is a direct reflection of your generosity and school spirit.

To celebrate, you will be able to participate in Athletic Wear Day on Monday, April 20th if you continue to demonstrate CHAMP behavior through the end of the day tomorrow. Let's finish the week strong by showing consistency in your actions, attitudes, and accountability.

As a reminder: "Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out." Keep building on the positive momentum you've created this week.

Thank you for representing our school so well. Go Dogs!
