Another great performance from MP Drama this evening! 12 Angry Jurors via theatre-in-the-round.

We did not meet our goal this week to earn athletic wear. But remember, progress isn’t always a straight line, and sometimes the moments that teach us the most come from the goals we just miss. What matters most is the effort, the growth, and the lessons we take forward. Every challenge gives us a chance to regroup, refocus, and come back even stronger.
Let’s be proud of the hard work, the teamwork, and the perseverance that has gotten us this far. Goals aren’t finish lines; they’re stepping stones. And every step we take, even the tough ones, moves us closer to success.
We did not earn Athletic Wear this week, but like Winston Churchill once said: “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” Keep your heads up, CHAMPs, we can bounce back and earn it next week.

Coach McGough was also selected as the Boys Cross Country Region Coach of the Year. Congratulations again to our Cross Country teams and coaches!

MP FFA does it again! National Champions for two years running!
The Timber Dawgs, composed of Ryan Bertram, Carter Johnson, Liam Parks, and Joey Thompson are FORESTRY NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! What an amazing accomplishment. MP is proud of our National CHAMPs!

Ryan Bertram- 4th High Individual

We saw students making All Region/Area teams, winning awards for performances on the field and stage, and taking home Region titles. These accomplishments don’t just happen by chance, they come from your effort, your focus, and your willingness to grow. Every time you give your best, you’re building habits that lead to lifelong success.
For a job well done, you all have earned athletic wear for Friday, October 31st. But please remember, this does not include costumes and you must follow the athletic dress code.
As we close out this week, remember these words from Coach John Wooden:
“Success comes from knowing that you did your best to become the best that you are capable of becoming.”
Make sure to support our MP Bulldogs as they take on Whitewater tomorrow night at Dan Pitts, the Game Day and Competition Cheerleaders at Eagles Landing and McIntosh on Saturday, and our Cross-Country team as they head into Sectionals in Ludowici on Friday and Saturday.
Keep giving your best and being CHAMPs in all that you do. Enjoy the weekend and come back ready to make next week another great one at Mary Persons!

The team will move on to compete at State 3A on Saturday, November 22, 2025.
Special shoutouts to sophomore, Kennedy Lumley, and junior, Sam Behrend, for being named All-Star Cast Members, and to senior, Erika Temple, who received Region Best Actress for her role as Toto!
Way to go, MP Theatre! We’re so proud of you, onward to state!

“Character is doing the right thing when nobody's looking.” — J.C. Watts
This week, overall, our CHAMP character shined and even though we could have had some situations turn negative, there were some individuals who chose to rise above, walk away, and take the higher road. All MP students have earned athletic wear for tomorrow, so enjoy your incentive!
Keep striving, keep growing, and keep showing the world the best version of yourselves. The choices you make today build the future you want tomorrow. Keep it up, you are capable of incredible things!

Homecoming isn’t just about the big game or the dance, it’s about celebrating who we are. It’s about friendships, laughter, community, and showing that MP spirit in everything from the hallways to the Friday Night Lights. Whether you’re performing, competing, cheering, or just soaking it all in, take a moment to enjoy it. These are the moments that define your high school story.
We hope to see everyone at the Homecoming game tomorrow night as we crown our Homecoming royalty, cheer on our Bulldogs as they take on Spalding, and dance and cheer along with our amazing band and cheerleaders. Let’s fill the stands with spirit and support!
I hope this week continues to be one to remember because you are what makes Mary Persons so special. And when you wear your class colors tomorrow, make sure you remember your athletic wear because you earned it! Make sure that shirt and short lengths are within athletic dress code.

Happy Custodian Appreciation Day!
Today, we’re giving a huge shoutout to the amazing custodial team that keeps our school looking its best, day in and day out! Whether it’s early mornings, late nights, surprise spills, or everyday upkeep, our custodians handle it all with care, pride, and a whole lot of hustle. Their work often happens behind the scenes, but today, we’re putting them front and center, where they belong! Join us in saying THANK YOU to the incredible individuals who help make our school a clean, safe, and welcoming place to learn and grow.
