Unfortunately, we did not earn Athletic Wear this week. Sometimes things don’t turn out the way we hoped, but that doesn’t mean great things aren’t still ahead. Every setback is really just a setup for a comeback. When things don’t go as planned, it’s a chance to rethink and approach things differently next time
Peter Drucker once said, “The best way to predict the future is to create it.”
Even when things don’t go as planned, you have the power to shape what comes next. Every choice is a chance to move toward something great.
As we move towards the end of the semester, we hope that everyone puts in their best effort to end the semester with success. Some upcoming events are as follows: EOCs are next week; make sure you come to school with your Chromebooks charged! Finals are on the 18th and 19th..Remember that exams are not given early, and they must be taken on the day in which they are scheduled. Students cannot be admitted to an EOC or a final exam late, so make sure you are EARLY! There are only a few days left until break; you’ve got this!
Things to note: Due to the EOC, there will be no homeroom next Friday, December 12. 1st Block will be extended until 9:56 am, and the 2nd Block tardy bell will ring at 10:02 am.

As we approach Thanksgiving, we want to encourage each of you to take a moment to reflect on the people, opportunities, and experiences in your lives for which you are grateful. This season gives us a special chance to pause and recognize the good around us, both big and small.
In the words of William Arthur Ward, “Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.” We hope you will not only think about what you’re thankful for, but also take the time to share that gratitude with your family, friends, teachers, and those who support you every day.
We are thankful for the hard work and CHAMP spirit you bring to our school. You make this community stronger, kinder, and one of a kind.
As you head into the break, we hope you find time to rest, recharge, and appreciate the moments and people who matter most.
And like all wonderful weeks of CHAMP-like behavior, you have earned Athletic Wear for tomorrow. Please make sure you follow the Athletic Wear dress code!
Wishing each of you a safe and happy Thanksgiving Break.

MP Cheerdawgs showed up and showed out at state! Great performance, ladies!

We've seen so many of you giving your best effort in class, supporting others on the athletic fields and in the school, and showing true leadership and character. Your hard work, dedication, and positive attitudes make our school a better place every day, and we couldn't be prouder of the CHAMP behavior you are exhibiting.
As Thomas Edison once said, "Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration." Every assignment you tackle, every question you ask, and every kind action you take adds up. Your consistent effort truly makes a difference in reaching your potential. Success is built one step at a time, and your consistent effort matters more than you may realize.
We also want to remind everyone about our cell phone policy. Staying focused in class is essential for your learning and helps us create an environment where everyone can succeed. As the policy states on pg. 41 of the Student Handbook:
"Cell phones, iPads, and laptops can be used under the instructional leadership of the teacher or during breakfast and lunch in the commons area or as specified by the school administration. All other electronic devices are prohibited. During state mandated testing, cellular phones and other electronic devices are not allowed in the testing location. The school is not responsible for stolen or lost cell phones."
We enforce this policy to ensure you're fully present and getting the most out of every lesson. Please be a CHAMP and house your phones in the designated location in class and ensure you are not using them during instructional time.
Keep up the great work, CHAMPs! You have earned athletic wear for this week, so remember to follow the athletic dress code guidelines.
Take a moment to celebrate this week's accomplishments, then come back ready to learn, grow, and succeed next week.

Another great performance from MP Drama this evening! 12 Angry Jurors via theatre-in-the-round.

Students,
We did not meet our goal this week to earn athletic wear. But remember, progress isn’t always a straight line, and sometimes the moments that teach us the most come from the goals we just miss. What matters most is the effort, the growth, and the lessons we take forward. Every challenge gives us a chance to regroup, refocus, and come back even stronger.
Let’s be proud of the hard work, the teamwork, and the perseverance that has gotten us this far. Goals aren’t finish lines; they’re stepping stones. And every step we take, even the tough ones, moves us closer to success.
We did not earn Athletic Wear this week, but like Winston Churchill once said: “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” Keep your heads up, CHAMPs, we can bounce back and earn it next week.
